BIRMINGHAM, Alabama-- The UAB football team finalized its work for Saturday's Homecoming game against North Texas in Thursday's practice at the UAB Practice Fields.
Saturday's game will mark the last at home for the month of October, as the Blazers will be on the road for the next three games before returning to Legion Field Nov. 8.
Head coach Bill Clark talked about how important it is to not only put on a show for the home fans, but also take advantage of the home field advantage going into a stretch of three-straight on the road.
"You want to look good at home," Clark said. "You want to play well in front of the home crowd and you should have an advantage. It is still the same field and everything like that, so you have to come out and play just as hard and just as well as you do on the road. I want people to see us and to see who we are as a football team."
UAB and North Texas are slated to kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 11. The game will be televised by the American Sports Network (ASN). Fans can watch the game locally on MyTV Channel 68 in Birmingham, or listen on the Blazer IMG Sports Network with David Crane (play-by-play), Steve Irvine (analyst) and Sam Miller (sideline reporter) on the call.
